IT'S DANGEROUS TO GO ALONE, TAKE THIS!
At the last co-working meetup, an attempt to mingle with the locals, we deviated from our usual screen-in-face method of being productive and went old school with pen and paper. After a few hours of caffeine and spitting at each other, a new game is born.

We've been wanting to make a new version of http://shadow.wetgenes.com/ and after having run a few games of http://hoe-house.appspot.com/ successfully using http://code.google.com/p/aelua/, it feels robust enough to use it for future game projects.

The plan is to create a browser game that can also be played as a card game. Having played http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/3955/bang countless times over the festive period, I've been hungry for more card games that were as fun and so simple to play. The other card game, http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/1690/unexploded-cow, wasn't as popular a choice; we only played it once but there were still things to learn from the gameplay and rules.

Creating Super Shadow was a little tricky. We had to keep going back to actual tabletop scenarios and forth to the web version to make sure it works on either platform. In the end, it seems we've made something that could very well work as planned though we would have to actually play the card game to be sure.

For the next few blog posts, I'll be laying out the rules and foundation of play. Mostly for my own sake since this will be ongoing and it would be nice to have a virtual version of notes to copypasta from.

Speaking of which, there's currently a new game of Shadow about to start and I should be joining.
