Finished Games | a list of all the games i've worked on.

i am constantly making games, art, silly things and the occassional music.

Asue2: A Series of Unexpected Escapes 2 - The Gum Machine

The Gum Machine is obviously a parody of the SubMachine where the gamer is induced to millions of similar looking rooms hunting for tiny "bonus gems" called secrets.
I guess you could say, I'm not a fan of most of Mateusz Skutnik's games. I daren't deny they are beautiful. The most beautiful of most EFTR games out there in fact! They just seem endless, futile and superfluous. Possibly this is what the fans want. Which explains wholly why I'm not a fan. :}

I do, however, love his first Submachine. I think that was possibly the best of the lot.

Asue1: A Series of Unexpected Escapes 1 - The Horse

This is our first EFTR (escape-from-the-room) game. It is modelled after Toshimitsu Takagi's Blue Chamber and celebrates the attitude of most EFTR / point & click type games.
Ever needed a walkthrough for one of these games because the sequential decisions and choices allowing you to finish the game seems ridiculously irrational? Exactly.

Romzom : Where There is No Enape

This was a huge pain in the ass.

Gojirama : The Typing of teh Rizard!

I really enjoyed doing the graphics for this. I think it was all done in a matter of 2 days due to a deadline. This was done simply without the extra fancy powerups for Peishan's Zine. If I had more time, I think I'd like to work on this some more and add super special things to it, mighty end-of-level big bosses, powerups and all that fnar fnar.
Also, if you look carefully at the splash screen, you'll see that I intended title of the game to be Gojirama Rama. Only because it was tacky and reminiscent of that 80s band, Bananarama. Oh well.

Wetbasement

I had alot of fun designing the levels for gameplay. It was my first time handling such a job. Replaying the levels over and over and over again to fine-tune them was a trip. The original graphics were made by Kriss using Pro Motion to recreate the pixel look. Days before release, the task of redrawing the levels was shoved in my face. Again, if I had more time, I'd probably add a hell of a lot more details into the levels. Still, not too shabby a job I think.

Mute

We had enough of the gamers/kongretards voicing out their unsatisfaction with the games found on kongregate that we made this as a response to all the negativity. It took us a mere 24 hours to make this and I think it plays really well. Revenge is ours!

The most challenging bit of this project was composing 5 horribly annoying musical loops to be played throughout the entirety of the game. At first I thought it was going to be a breeze but it turned out being terribly difficult to achieve because the end result always seemed pleasant!! Finally, I realise that the problem lies with the fact that I was subconsciously creating pretty tunes in my head. o_O
Once I got over that hurdle, the repulsive tunes spewed forth rather rambunctiously.

If you want, you can read more of the drama here. :}

Advent Island

This game was made especially for Kriss by his dad. So you could call this a family affair. :}
Anyway, I was really trying to achieve a similar effect to Another World but as you can see, failing terribly. I love the old school science fiction genre, having grown up reading those adventure books and playing the videogames. I think I might have another gander at recreating the same feel for our latest game.
